Hello, everybody. Today we are going to talk about sheet metal parts and their processing technology. First of all, I would like to ask you a question:
What is the sheet metal part? Sheet metal parts are a kind of comprehensive cold processing technology for sheet metal (usually less than 6mm), including shearing, punching/cutting/compounding, folding, welding, riveting, splicing and forming parts.
Characteristic
1. Uniform thickness. For a part, the thickness of all parts is the same.
2. Light weight, high strength, conductivity, low cost, good mass production performance
Processing technology
1. scissors
The equipment of the cutting process is the shearing machine, which can cut a sheet metal into a basic shape. Its advantages are: low processing cost; shortcomings: general precision, burr cutting, simple rectangle or other simple straight line graphics.
Before the shearing process, it is necessary to calculate the expansion size of the part, which is related to the bending radius, bending angle, material quality and thickness of the plate.
2. strikes
The equipment of punching process is punch, which can further process and shape the sheared material. Stamping various shapes requires different dies, common dies have round holes, long round holes, convex platform; high accuracy.
Convex: Material is not removed, pay attention to the height of the convex is limited, with the material quality of the plate, the thickness of the plate, the inclined angle of the convex and so on.
There are many kinds of bumps, including heat dissipation holes, installation holes and so on. Because of the bending effect, the distance between the edge of the design hole and the edge of the plate and the bending edge will be limited.
3. Laser Cutting
Processing equipment: laser cutting machine
For material removal that cannot be accomplished by shearing or punching process, or sheet metal with high hardness and easy to damage the die, such as chamfered corner, or when there is no ready-made die to stamp the required shape, laser cutting can be used to complete the forming of pre-bending material.
Advantages: no burr, high precision, can cut arbitrary graphics, such as leaves, flowers, etc. Disadvantages: high process cost
4. bending
Processing equipment: bending machine, winding machine
They can bend or roll metal sheets into the desired shape, which is the forming process of parts; through the cold pressing of metal sheets by the upper and lower knives of the bending machine, the process of obtaining the desired shape is called bending.
Bending is the last step of forming sheet metal parts. Whether the parts can be unfolded and formed by bending needs to pay attention to a few points. Here's a short edition and let's talk about it.
1. Lack of materials, as shown below, the convex is too high to exceed the ductility of the material. The convex is generally used to pad the installation dimension or avoid the installation conflict. Therefore, the convex must be made without changing the internal structure of the material and without affecting the structural strength. For example, the angle of the convex cone and the base plane is 45 degrees, and the height is three times the thickness of the plate.
2. Redundant materials: Redundant materials are often closed by multiple bending edges, mostly due to process errors or drawing errors.
3. Bending Restriction: Most benders have certain restrictions on bending.
Unilateral height: the size of the blackmail bender and the height of the upper knife, the solution can be to use the multilateral large angle bending.
Bilateral Height: Not more than the maximum height of one side. In addition to all the restrictions of the height of one side, it is also restricted by the bottom side: bending height < bottom side.
4. Because sheet metal is formed by a sheet metal through bending, the contact of the bending edge is not sealed and there is no hard connection. If it is not treated, it will affect the strength. Usually the treatment is welding. The technical requirements on the drawings are: fillet, fillet, rounding.
5. Surface treatment
Because the sheet metal is thin, it is not suitable for hot-dip galvanizing. The common surface treatment methods are phosphating, electrostatic spraying, and the color depends on the project. This process is suitable for sheet metal material as the surface of untreated black parts.
Okay, here we are, about sheet metal parts and some of its processing technology. Have you learned anything from your friends?
